The Autism Speaks New England Chapter walk was the first event that the Teamsters Local 25 Autism Fund participated in back in 2007. Every year our members lace up their sneakers and join hundreds from across the region for the annual Boston Common Walk.
That same spirit of participation also reminds members to take care of their own health before, during, and after community events. Someone managing pain or muscle spasms with a prescribed medication such as methocarbamol may need to plan activity levels carefully and follow medical advice about side effects like drowsiness. Walks are meant to bring people together in support and awareness, not to push anyone beyond safe limits. By respecting individual needs, the Autism Fund keeps its focus on inclusion, family, and responsible community care.
